1. About these Terms and our products
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and StylMe (Pty) Ltd ("StylMe", "we", "us" or "our") regarding your use of:
- The CuratedCart mobile application, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and
- The stylme.co.za website.
About the brand names: "StylMe" is our company's trading name and our marketing brand. "CuratedCart" is the public name of our mobile app on the app stores. Both names refer to the same product, operated by the same company. These Terms apply to both.
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use CuratedCart.
- If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
- You agree to notify us immediately at support@stylme.co.za if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Using CuratedCart
CuratedCart provides personalised outfit recommendations, virtual try-on, a digital wardrobe, and links to retailers. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
The recommendations and suggestions provided by CuratedCart are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are not professional styling, medical, or fitness advice.
4. Subscriptions, billing and renewals
4.1 Plans
CuratedCart offers a free tier and two paid subscription tiers. Current pricing in South African Rand:

Pricing may change. We will notify you in advance of any change that affects your existing subscription.
4.2 How payment is processed
- If you subscribed via the Google Play Store, billing is handled by Google Play Billing under the Google Play Terms of Service.
- If you subscribed via the Apple App Store, billing is handled by Apple under the standard EULA and Apple Media Services terms.
- If you subscribed via the website using PayFast, billing is handled by PayFast under their Terms.
StylMe never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials. We receive only confirmation of the transaction result.
4.3 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Your payment provider will charge the renewal fee using the payment method on file.
5. Cancellation and refunds
5.1 How to cancel
- Google Play subscriptions: cancel via Google Play → Subscriptions, or in the app's Settings → Subscription.
- Apple App Store subscriptions: cancel via your Apple ID → Subscriptions in iOS Settings.
- PayFast / web subscriptions: cancel via your account settings on the website or by emailing support@stylme.co.za.
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
5.2 Refunds
- App store subscriptions are refunded at the discretion of Google or Apple, according to their refund policies. Contact the app store directly to request a refund.
- For PayFast/web subscriptions, refund requests can be made by emailing support@stylme.co.za within 7 days of the transaction. We process eligible refunds within 14 business days.
- Where required by law (including the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008), your statutory rights are not affected by this Section.
6. Your content and intellectual property
6.1 Your content
"Your Content" means the photos, profile information, wardrobe items, saved outfits, voice queries and other information you submit to the app.
You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant StylMe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display Your Content for the limited purpose of providing the service to you (for example, generating outfit recommendations, performing virtual try-on, and syncing your account across your devices).
We do not use Your Content to train AI models for any purpose other than serving you, and we do not share Your Content with third parties for advertising.
6.2 Our intellectual property
All software, designs, text, graphics, logos, the StylMe and CuratedCart trademarks, and other materials in the app and on the website are owned by StylMe (Pty) Ltd or our licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of any part of our service without our written permission.
7. Things you may not do
You agree not to:
- Use CuratedCart for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Upload photos of any person without that person's consent.
- Upload sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise offensive content.
- Upload photos of minors for try-on or any other purpose, other than photos of yourself if you are a minor using the app with parental consent.
- Attempt to circumvent tier limits, abuse the free tier, or create multiple accounts to evade restrictions.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or attempt to bypass our security or authentication.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers.
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the service.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these rules.
8. Third-party services and retailer links
CuratedCart links to third-party retailers (such as Superbalist, Zando, Woolworths, Takealot and ASOS) so you can purchase items you discover through the app. When you click a retailer link, you leave CuratedCart and become subject to that retailer's terms and privacy policy. StylMe is not responsible for the products, prices, availability, delivery, or customer service of third-party retailers, and we do not warrant the accuracy of pricing or stock information shown.
Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them. This does not affect what you pay or the recommendations we provide.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- CuratedCart is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- Outfit recommendations and virtual try-on results are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, suitable, or to your taste. They are suggestions, not guarantees.
- Pricing and availability of items at third-party retailers are controlled by those retailers and may change without notice.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StylMe (Pty) Ltd, our directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of CuratedCart.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or CuratedCart is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ZAR 500.
This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StylMe (Pty) Ltd, our directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of CuratedCart, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right (including privacy or intellectual property rights), or (d) Your Content.
12. Termination
You may stop using CuratedCart at any time and delete your account using the methods in our Privacy Policy or via stylme.co.za/delete-account.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are using the service in a way that risks harm to other users or our systems, or if required by law.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, except where required by law.
13. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of CuratedCart at any time, with or without notice. We may update these Terms by posting an updated version on stylme.co.za. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of CuratedCart after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or CuratedCart will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Before bringing a formal dispute, please contact us at support@stylme.co.za so we can try to resolve it informally.
Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
